Riverside

This area is known for its Riverside Arts Market, Farmers Markets, and 5 Points entertainment and shopping. Centrally located (near downtown) it has become a hub for hipsters and professionals. Riverside features lots of historic Jacksonville homes built in the early 1900s along the St. John’s River. Imagine old downtown Savannah, Georgia when you think of Riverside. If you live and work in this area, you can ride a bike or walk to bistro restaurants, coffee houses, night spots, grocery stores, parks, law offices, doctors’ offices, you name it! Springfield is on the northside of Downtown while Riverside is on the West Side of Downtown. Many builders are building new construction homes that look and match the neighborhood’s historic architecture for those who want the aesthetics but not the maintenance. Rentals in this area go faster than anywhere else (24 hours or less back in my rental days). 5 minutes to Downtown, 30-40 minutes to the Beach, 20-30 minutes to the Southside corporate offices.
